Our Story
One simple aim - providing a pathway to greater possibility
My Online Schooling was established with one simple aim: to improve the educational possibilities for young people. We recognise that pupils learn in all different ways and at different paces. That’s why we’ve chosen to create an alternative pathway that isn't one-size-fits-all.
Our school provides a full-time British education online to all children of school age. We believe that all young people deserve access to a quality education, which is why all of our teaching is based online. In doing so, we have opened the doors for pupils worldwide to study the English National Curriculum and to receive International GCSE and A-Level qualifications to show for it.

Our first academic year ends with 40 pupils. Having started off as a platform to support homeschooled children, we have now established ourselves as a full-time online school.

Our second academic year begins with 120 pupils. As our pupil roll continues to grow, as does the My Online Schooling team with a number of new additions from the education, business and customer service sectors.

We open our Melbourne, Australia office to support families in the Asia Pacific region. Our Asia Pacific team are able to directly assist parents in their own or similar time zone, making their school experience much smoother.

Our second school year finishes with 400 pupils, rounding off another incredibly successful year at My Online Schooling. Over the summer, our team work hard on some exciting new developments for the year ahead.

We introduce our team of Success Coordinators. Our Success Coordinators are customer service professionals - on hand to support our families throughout the school week with any questions, and to ensure the success of you and your child at our school.

The My Online Schooling Learning & Wellbeing Support Hub launches to provide further targeted support for pupils with wellbeing or Special Educational Needs.

My Online Schooling officially established its Junior School. We now offer an expertly curated Junior curriculum centred on fun, engagement and holistic development while covering all key curricular areas. Pupils can now enrol as young as 7 years old into our Year 3 classes.

We are invited to be part of the UK Department for Education Online Education Accreditation Scheme - an initiative to ensure online schools meet the highest standards of education and pastoral care for their students.

Our office base in Australia moves across the country from Melbourne to Perth, WA, allowing our team to better meet the needs of our families in the Asia Pacific region.

We launch global support for pupils affected by school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We offer a schedule of free daily live lessons that are live streamed on our social media channels, as well as downloadable homeschooling resources on our website.

Our school roll has grown to 1400 pupils, serving families in over 80 different countries across the world. We see our virtual classrooms become even more diverse and exciting, and friendships being made that span the globe.

My Online Schooling wins the Progressive Education Delivery Award at the PIEoneer Education Awards 2020. This award recognises our efforts in creating an accessible, forward-thinking, pupil-focused online alternative to mainstream schooling.

My Online Schooling becomes a Cambridge International School - a significant milestone in our school's journey. This accreditation recognises our school's ability to provide pupils with a clear pathway for educational success.

Lingua Connect, our English as an Additional Language (EAL) partner, officially launches, offering live, interactive English classes to children across the world.

We officially launch the My Online Schooling Community platform. This interactive platform allows our enrolled families and school alumni to connect with one another, arrange in-person meet-ups and events, keep up to date with school news and much more.

We establish our third international base in Dubai to support the growing number of families based in the Middle East.

My Online Schooling becomes a Member School of the Council of International Schools (CIS). This membership recognises our commitment to the shared vision held by CIS school members around the world – a desire to provide pupils with the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue their lives as global citizens and a commitment to high quality education and sustainable school improvement.

We open our London office. We now have four bases to facilitate our growing education, inclusion, business and leadership teams.

My Online Schooling launches the MOS Parent App to replace the Parent Portal. This allows parents and carers to access everything they need to know about their child’s education in one place, while staying connected with the school.

My Online Schooling joins the Inspired Education Group - the leading global group of premium schools educating over 70,000 students in 83 schools on five continents.

Combining 23 years of expertise in online education, My Online Schooling joins together with King's InterHigh - the UK's leading online school.
From September 2023, King's InterHigh will deliver the best of both King's InterHigh and My Online Schooling; creating a bigger school that will always feel small to its pupils.
